Who had experience with giving workshops/lessons in music production?

Hey,

I've been asked to do a workshop in music production in FL studio. I've never done this and I'd like to prepare this very well, so I was wondering if you guys can give me any tips..

Who has done this before and how did you prepare?

I'm thinking of making a checklist with everything I need, and one with all the content that i'd like to give to the people involved.
I'm not going to go into advanced stuff, i just gonna give a basic introduction, with some music theory, the lay-out of the daw, what a daw is, what u can use if for, the structure of a track,...

Some things that are not very clear yet is how i will divide the time. How much time do you put into every section of the course, and how do you calculate this? How deep do you need to go into every part?

Also, what's the best way to explain things? Using a powerpoint with screenshots that people can download later on, real time producing (that requires that everyone has a laptop with the daw installed), ...

Any tips and experience is very welcome!
