Which drop works better?

Hi guys,

Working on a track for a bit and completely lost objectivity on it (standard) so for fun I thought I would upload to the two versions of the drop here to see which one you guys prefer! Heres a couple of clips (feel free to skip a bit - its 48 bars, the first 16 are identical) I'm interested primarily in what happens when the beat drops. Arp or drone riff?

Personally I'd say the second option sounds better for the initial drop, the first for either the second drop or the second half of the first drop. I'm getting some real pendulum-esque vibes from this one, I'm thinking maybe some sort of gated riser-type synth increasing in pitch toward the end of the phrases in the drops to pick it back up to drop into the next might fit here? Yeah I'm not very good at putting sounds into words, if I stumble upon a good example I'll be back.
