40 is the maximum i wanna go to really...dont really need to be very good, but would like them to be half decent.

anyone got any other sugestions or advice on which one to go for

i used to have a set of 500's and they pretty decent, they track ok and the sound quality is fairly good too

shure m44-7's are the best all around, i believe. do some research on them and you will understand. super durable. I have had mine for 6 - 7 years. had to replace the stylus but that is normal.

M44-7s are 25 quid over his budget and sound gash compared to the similarly priced Shure M35X.

Same ere these bad boys stick to the record and I got new needles coming

Even if they over budget just save up for that little bit longer better to have something tried tested and not likely to fuck up two months down the line.

Looking at the spec on the shure website there main difference was that with the the m 44 7s was big bass and the 35x were deep drop bass?????

Best two get one of each and compair them yerself mate
