I currently live in a shit little town with no music scene whatsoever, all my good mates will be off travelling soon or moving for work so figure it's time to fuck off myself!

Want to move somewhere where i can potentially get dj sets, torn between London, Bristol or brighton at the moment. Not sure about london think it might be too hectic for me, been told cost of living would be cheaper in bristol than brighton so that's top of the list right now. Love to hear from any of you lot if you live in any of the three?? Cost of living would play a fairly big part cos wherever i go i won't be earning a lot!

    Brighton CAN be fairly expensive.

Im on outskirts of london (20 min train to london bridge kind of range) and its not too bad cost wise. Cost of living isnt particularly astronomical, just my job is severely underpaid.

Bristol is an awesome city. I'd try living under a bridge if I were you, using cast off papers from the chip shop. That way you'll be warm, smell of fish and chips and the grease will allow you to evade capture from the people who will inevitably try to eat your heart.

start applying for jobs in the places you would like to live.

then when you get a job, you'll know where you're going.

no point moving if you dont have a job to move to.

I live in briz and its a great city. Some of briz can be pretty expensive but theres still quite a few cheap areas which arent in fuck squat nowhere (easton and st pauls come to mind). I live in easton and love it, lived in st pauls for 4 years and its a really nice community but the prices are just going up and up

Go where you get a better job, not where you'll have a better social life imo, you can have fun anywhere

Only female ive seen in days exhibiting logic.

Seriously, this. No point moving somewhere and not having the means to support yourself there.

Unless your gonna be a dirty little benefit sponge, in which case, go nuts.

Hahahaha, just saw you live in Farnborough. I understand your pain, living in that little place would do my nut in. I used to play cricket round there when i was a nipper and the young/elderly ratio is not in our favour.

Appreciate all the advice, definately feeling bristol most at the moment

Yeah i won't move until i get a job, i'l just apply for various stuff for wherever i end up aiming for and just hope i get a bit of luck!

Hahaha glad someone appreciates the hole i live in. Nearest half decent place is guildford and that's hardly a vibrant place itself! But yeah i am definately no benefit sponge, just need to keep eyes peeled

Need to get out of the small town mindset then! Tube travel is serene, its like a private rest, nobody talks, nobody looks, great.
