vinyl, cd, mp3, wav, whatever ur media preference is...
where do u get them from?
online store? record shop? some dude's van at a boot sale?
Where would you recomend ....

Vinyl all the way.
Usually get all my stuff online, but try and get up to London every couple of months coz nothing beats chillin in a record shop all day.
Check charity shops as well. Sometimes you can find some right gems :D

For vinyl theres pretty much only 5 places you will need to look other than e-bay (if your really stuggling to find something) and thats; htfr, red eye records, dnb source,nu urban music and chemical records:)

I buy everything. Go me (y)

Online at Redeye and sometimes straight from the label shops. MP3's are mostly from e-music. Sometimes buy vinyl from the shops in town but you can't always get what you want. Second hand from the shops is cool as well. Get CD's from anywhere- HMV, Fopp but the records shops have the more obscure ones usually.

Banquet Records in Kingston for most stuff

online i use redeye, chemical and occasionally kaizen

This emusic sounds interesting - do they have as much dnb as, for example, beatport or juno?
on topic: I usually get mp3s from beatport, junodownload or trackitdown and I rarely buy CDs from amazon.

do u find that vinyls are cheaper online than in shops? i know u have to pay postage but if u get a few i still find it to cost less!

been using juno, redeye & chemical online more this year instead of trecking up to ldn every fortnight.
when ive been putting in a big order ive added the same records to the basket on each website and gone with the cheapest one. redeye is usually cheaper than juno but juno is always next day delivery and 9 times out of 10 i get mondays shipping items on a saturday! good times 4 the wknds!

gonna be working up in chelmsford for 3-4 weeks and just found out there is a record shop up there! thats where im gonna be spending my lunch hours for the next few!

nah, its not as specialised as those. But they have improved over the past year though on the Dnb front. They've got a good selection of Shogun, Hospital, C4C, Spearhead, Metalheadz, Integral and others that are updated frequently. Good dubstep as well. Prices are pretty good once you get going- i'm on 99 downloads a month for £9.99- 10p a download :rinsed:

try this link though- 50 free downloads over 14 days (y)

wow, the prices are amazing, and it isn't a shitty flatrate like napster where you dont actually own the music - I guess I'll give this shop a try. almost 100 tracks for 12€ in the first month :D

If you know what your looking for its worth checking amazon and play.com for downloads. Theyre not as easy as beatport etc to browse the tunes but Ive got a few off there for 69p.

to actually get those rates consistently though you need to sign up for a basic account first which will give you 24 downloads for £9.99 then they add however many free on top. Then when the first month is up, cancel your account. Wait a month and they'll send an email asking you to re-join and then they'll give that standard rate and 75 free. It's complicated but worth it imo.
