So whats everyones ideal bpm for producing dnb? not DJing though as it can vary, personally i like to produce mostly at 175, i use 174 for liquid, dont know why but it just seems right for me, how about you?

i suppose 173 is my favorite, but anything between 160-180, depends on the vibe and sound i'm going for, neuro i tend to write around 160-168, liquidtech 170-175, liquid upto 178, i dont do much above that speed, but if i do its usualy a bit mental, trash-dnb experimental shit

from about 170 to 178 id say
have done some at 168 etc but not normally
175 - 176 most the time for jump up
170 - 174 for liquid

Yeah it all varies from style to style and person to person really.

As a rule, I generally write my liquid tech stuff between 170 - 175 (Quite liking 172 at the minute) and my minimal stuff is bang on 170bpm

When I decide to make dnb I usually go for somewhere in the range of 168 - 174. Usually starting the track at 170 and changing then trying out different speeds to see what works better.

im hoping someone comes out with, yeah i produce dnb at 200bpm!! crazyyy haha

i've tried a few things at 200-210, didnt work tho, not really a fan of the gabba sound, but that hits 300bpm sumtimes, fukin crazy speed fiends

My perfect point is either 158 or 168. I tend to produce easier tracks wich are usually a bit slower. But even on a harder kicking track i wouldnt go over 170

it's a rare day if i go above 170. sweet spot always feels like 164. a near opposite of what i was doing 5/6 years ago in the 230 - 270 range

if your a lazy dj you can do a whole autonomic set without touching the faders cause its all 170/85. all noisias tunes are at 172, break at 174. It doesnt really matter as sometimes breaks give the impression of a faster tune when its slower by a bpm or 2, paradox's beats come to mind especially.
i love playing with 85 cause you still get all the same rhythmic variations at 170. got some good results making more experimental stuff at 340 too
