Whats the differnce between a Pannini and a Toastie ?

    Both toasted. Obviously different breads man. I think it's a crust issue. If you did a toastie with two crusts of a loaf then what I think you looking at is a poor mans panini. A poornini. Different kettle.

    panini is a specific type of bread and toasties are just plain bread toasted isn't it?

    Aren't Paninis like baguette shaped and toasties are just normal bread? I think that's it. Paninis are Italian toasties

    A panini is a small toasted roll, like a ciabatta for example.

    The word "panino", the plural being "panini" means small bread roll.

    I always think of a toastie as being from sliced bread so it is flat.
