Had an interview for Rolls-Royce two weeks ago and it went quite well. I asked how long it would be before they decided on the appointment, to which they replied two weeks.

Well its been two weeks and i heard nothing......diddly squat! Nothing through the post and no mail.

So what do I do? Do I sit tight and wait? As a mate of mine said no news is not bad news. Or do I chase them up? I would rather not phone them up just to find out I haven't got the job. I think that would be even more depressing!!!!!

TBH mate, i would phone em everyday cos it may be a test on their part to see how much you want it (i was told this by a good friend who works in recruitment so it is not desperate like i first thought it just gets your name in their heads) However, you are right about the depressing bit, i phoned Warner music repeatedly after applying for a apprentice thing, they said "yes we will get back when we make the decision" i kept phoning only to get a big fat ass NO!!!
If you get it wanna nick me a RR badge for my push bike?!!! I want to Pimp my Bike!!! hehehe ( i know just call me a :jerkit: and i will shut up!!)

Well homie... I just got a job contracted through the military (I'm a workgroup manager) and I would say that you should call and just let them know that you're still interested in the job. I know it helped me out. But don't call every day bothering them call like maybe once on Monday and once on Thursday or Friday just to "check in".

Just thought i'd update....not that it matters much!!!!

Didn't get the job at Rolls due to them putting an embargo the graphic resource centre. No one was employed in the end. However, more opportunities may arise from this situation as apparently I interviewed quite well.

Start a job on Monday working for Callumet. It's a company that supplies photographic equipment to proffesionals and the pro-am market. Should be able to make a few contacts whilst there. Maybe even forge a career out of it!!!
