what speed is dubstep

ive done a few dubsteppy tunes
but i was wondering what speed they usually run at
ive been doing my tunes between 85 and 100bpm whats the standard speed?

i feel well stupid for askin this

erm usually between 135 and 143 i would say but you get ppl who make it alot slower like 110 even but the usual rave dubstep like i said is around the 140 mark

yea you can still make tunes for the floor at 130 min if its a wickedly grimey bass line, to the point where its so sick you will throw up all over the place as soon as it drops, gotta becareful with tunes like that, drop a tune like that in a packed club, mofo;s be throwing every where, then you have a problem cos you got like 800 - 1000 people coverd in sick ... mean while the dj's thrown up all over the decks, and ruined them, now ......

he did not relise that the tune was the creator of all this mess , so he paniks and puts a cd in to the cd decks which are still ok. unbeknown to him , its the same tune, he starts the tune up, every ones all like NO NO this tunes to sick for the floor, they are all trying to stop it droping again, but they are all sliping and sliding n shit, now you still have ya hardcore dupstep fan ready for the drop, they came prepared for tunes lke dis,
but every one else is just throwing up at the thought of it even droping, so the tunes building up, the dumb ass dj has no idea what the hells going on, as hes just thinks its all a bad trip, cos hes on micro dots.

so the tunes building up , mean while the cops have arived and paramidics n shit, the club is in a total panik again, and then ..... the tune drops, every mother fuckers just vomiting
left right and fucking centre. the cop n other outsiders etc, they didnt even no what dupstep was , there ears just bleed as did there eyes and nose, then they just freaked out. the place was a fucken mess

so yea 130 or 140max to prevent shit like this.

138 - 142 bpm. The latter would be used if you wanted the track a little more rolling.
Its like DnB - Most producers make drum and basss at 174 but some do it it 175 to make it sound a bit more rolling.
