Im sure there's been a thread like this before but am just interested to see the many different ways each of us produces.

I use Reason 4 to produce/sequence my beats. then i put the finished beat into cubase sx3 and use absynth for my textures and z3ta+ for my basslines. Any live recordings are done through protools.

    Whats everyone elses technique?
    Cheers

Cubase for recording, audio editing, arrangement, and mix.
Albino as my starting point for most sounds.
    Kontakt for everything else.

Tracktion 3 is my daw. Albino and z3ta are my main synths.
Battery3 and Kontakt for drums and tweakage.
    Numerous bits of freeware.

Anything in addition to this will have to pay for itself (yeah right)

    used to be
    reason + ableton

now im learning logic which i love.
also picked up protools 8 and an mbox mini, but havent messed with that yet.
    so right now its
    logic + reason.
but i still have a few tunes going in ableton, though the stuff im doing in logic sounds way better, probably because im learning from scratch.
