can't answer for all of them, but digital + brillo love the new zealand summer so much they spend this time of year down here in the sun - that would explain why LOAD media put stuff on hold for a while
Wow, so the UK dance scene is dying as well. I just found out this week that the number one record store in NYC closed up this past fall, Sonic Groove! I'm rather upset this happened as it was the nicest store to shop in as the people who worked there weren't arrogant pricks that usually populate any sort of specialty music shop. They also didn't make you pay through your nose for 1992 records as 'other' NYC record shops have.
So now, If I got the story streight, DNB record distributers are not distributing records in the winter months? Thats really wild!
perhaps just the four week period over xmas/new year, all the journos go on break too as well as most people with any media involvement. Hence thinner newspapers, poorer than usual TV, and not enough new tunes.
