Does anyone know what Dj Steppa is up to these days?

Leeds leading d&b dj for the last 20 years and I haven’t seen or heard anything from him in recent times..

Hope he is all good and well.

He sadly retired from D&B quite a few years back. There were a few factors I think but very sad all the same. He was a wicked DJ. Used to wipe the floor with me and every other DJ at Sub Dub.

Hopefully one day he'll come back.

he had a big fall out with the other generically named dj guys like Dj Roller and Dj Bassline.

They all fought on a field and Dj Rinse Out won, the other guys vowed to retire in humiliation.

As in Steppa & Kitcha? Northern Lights?

Never knew he retired, he brought the Northern jaamp aap goodness

This is a shame, like so many talented producers. What ever happened to Harvest too?

On topic, Steppa did well for himself and caught the eye of Hazard, G-Dub, Twisted, Heist, Jaydan and Escape with vinyl releases on all of their labels as well as starting his own label along with Kitcha. So I would say he had a very productive DnB career. Still love Come Down, Gangsta Boogie and The Realm

Used to batter this percy. I'm going to dig out for a spin this weekend

I can remember Andy C supporting Militant at one point...

Tune went off at the time

yeah there were a few jungly sounding ones he put out back then. prophecy was a belter!

maybe we should change this to a general 'what happened to? thread for producers gone awol

few interesting ones in there..

heh, was wondering the other day what happened to JB and Spice. seems they kind of vanished around 2008 ish?

Yeah, discogs lists a dubstep release on him 2012 but I doubt it´s him.

Found them though -

They are out of the game.

DJ Wildchild was another name I was thinking about, well..she went all house apparently
