First of all you've got some of the best producers been discovered in places like Australia, New Zealand, America, & even as far as Estonia!! Labels don't seem to be so as scared to take a risk on new artist's & tracks, I mean look at Renegade Hardware they've setup Barcode especially for that type of material. As Jay Walker put it artist's are now moving around labels & seem to be partnering with other people to help create new & exciting sounds e.g. Fresh & Adam F, DJ Craze & JuJu, Mampi Swift & Friction etc.
I also seem to be seeing more producers trying out a different style of d&b or even branching off into Techno, Breaks, Down-tempo, & live performances.
A new wave of Jump-Up sound has occured in the form of the big knees up basslines, but it's become that controvesial within the scence it's exciting to see what happens next.
D&B is prospering sweetly & I don't think it has reached it's full maturity just yet, but when you see dance events holding 50,000 people from all over the world in a different country each year thats when you know it's global domination is complete.

theres a lot more raves failing though, dance music in general's in a bit of a slump. our scenes stronger than most theres just fewer people going to raves than there once was.12 inch grinch said:well. dnb at the moment has took over the music scene in the uk it has had a lot of new and different tunes ... personally the beats that are out now r better than any dnb thats been produced in the ninetys the scene is pumpin... there is shit loads of raves this year compared to last year and even charity events... In all seriousness though what other UK born music has cracked the US market? d&b is getting pretty big out there now, didn't Fresh move out there to setup a studio?
i agree ..but drum and bass from a ravers point of view is satisfiing at most venues i cant stand it wen you cant move in the small raves ..but the big raves are heavy wen its ram .. personally i prefere free partys in old shaked out buildins ... peace... big up breakneck ....skope said:theres a lot more raves failing though, dance music in general's in a bit of a slump. our scenes stronger than most theres just fewer people going to raves than there once was.
