I've been thinking about something... Growing up in London 20 years ago there was little gun crime. Plenty of violence but no guns. A shooting was frontpage news and mostly it was IRA, bank robberies or East End gangsters on very very rare occasions.

Things suddenly changed at the end of the 80's. Suddenly guns.

I don't know if anybody here has stared down a gun barrel, but I have. Broke the bastard's arm. Should have shit myself.

Until that time, I had a fascination with guns and wanted one for myself - ahem "for protection". Didn't want one after that though I still appreciate finely crafted weapons.

I also stopped paintballing when I noticed that the paintball markers were substitute firearms for small-dick rich bastards (a high quality marker can set you back a thousand or double quid). Instead of playing the game they would compare size, cost and rate of fire.
