Vista and higher - Line In input volume adjust?

Is there a separate program to do this? Seven doesn't offer any kind of actual Line Input volume adjustment and I have to literally pump my mixer main volume to nearly 3/4 to get a nice volume for recording.

Or is it even easier than I think?

Hmm I find it can vary with different PC's, for Windows I adjust the Line In found on the speaker icon on the main toolbar then select>> options>>properties>>Recording then ajust your Line In volume, but be careful as too high and you will get distortions. Sorry dont know if this is any value to you? lol
