You know how it automatically works out the gain for a track, Well what happens if the track is still really low and I adjust it ? Will it effect the recording or playback ? I did a practice i could tell the track was louder and couldn't really hear any distortion but I ask because Ive never really had to adjust the gain on a track yet for recording and I don't want it all distorting. Thanks

maybe try exporting a little clip of it and see how it sounds?

I have done that, It didn't sound bad but ive never really understood the db of the gain. It's set at 0db standard but I tweek it to say 2.3db so it fits better without a drop in sound but I don't want the track to be a lot louder than the rest on the recording.

I did forget to mention I don't believe its been mastered so that would explain why its a lot more quite to other tracks. I just thought VD would of done the auto db gain alittle louder.

I have had a look on the VD site about this but merh.
