VIP

"Very Important Pressing"
"Very Important Platter"
"Very Important Plate"
basically, it means "this record is made for whoring and then forgetting in six months if you can find it, which you probably won't because it's a limited pressing that may never be released"

some VIPs are awesome, though,

basically its a remix.

say its a vip by someone else who didnt make th e original.

then the producer of the original send the samples/project over to the other guy mee thyinks

Very Important Person

which means if you make a banging tune YOU are entitled to re do your own tune whether anyone gives a shit or not :)

whether its good or bad is another story..............................................

So no one reeeealy knows for sure :(! I'm tied between vip as in they got full support from the label who own the track or the tempory remix dub-plate thing.

~edit.

Just read that thread! The definition is re-arranging a track? fair one.
