Anywho, been wanting to record a video mix for a while now using my mbook pro. Tried to record the audio through traktor and then sync it up with the video in Imovie.

However!! when recording the mix in IMovie it still picks up the audio of the builtin mic which makes it sound gash. is there a way of recording the video without using the mic? you have to change the input settings to the traktor interface to record anyway so im stumped. Anyone have any tips on best program to use or best way to go about it?

Can you not just delete/mute the audio from the video recording and then add the audio from the traktor recording? I'm assuming I haven't understood the issue properly

yeah, just mute the audio on the video. Use audacity to record audio from mixer, should be simple if you have a traktor box. Then sync the 2 using some video editing software.
