been thinking about recording a video on my smartphone and then editing the audio over the video. Anyone got any good tips on how to do this on windows or mac?

Any video editing software will do this for you Tow Knee. Vegas, Premiere Pro, Final Cut. etc.

cheers boss, is it easy to do? what software would you recommend for beginners and borderline retards!?

If you have a Mac then you can do it on iMovie. Its really easy. Load up your video to the timeline and mute the audio then load up your audio recording and align with the video. Export the finished project and you're done.
