Dust Audio return into 2013 after a superb 2012.
With our 2nd instalment of the Underpass EP series.

Kicking off the EP, New Zealand’s Hollow Crooks drop “Don’t say Nothin” A pure roller of the highest order, lots of nods to the old school in the intro which leads straight into the bass which modulates and bubbles over tightly packed drums and percussion, watch out for this outfit, with a solo EP already pencilled in alongside a debut vinyl release on Dust Audio.
Incognito follows the trend with another piece of pure rolling funk, with a no nonsense approach this gets straight to business. A killer mid range stab sits precisely over the low brooding bass with clever counter stabs slicing through the filters with ease. Another fine addition to the roster from New Zealand.
Fre4knc is an artist who has released on many labels over the years and also opened up his account with a vinyl release on dust audio 001 alongside Mindmapper last summer.
This time he goes solo with Mesmar. Low hung bass with drums that are relentless in switches and excitement. A masterly crafted tune that doesn’t get technical for technical sakes but you can tell its been worked to every detail, every element is working for the tune and not against it, class.
Finishing the EP are Dust Audio stalwarts Andy Pain & Z Connection, who bring Asteroid Belt.
A flavour of stepping drums and booming bass are welcomed everytime.
An intro like you are stuck in an asteroid belt is just the calm before the storm, and when it hits it smacks hard with stepped out drums and booming bass, little flurries from a flute gives it an unease that adds to the magic of the tune.
Another winner from the Russian duo, watch out for a future vinyl release from them at Dust Audio.

2013 Will see Dust Audio release music on the vinyl and digital formats from the likes of: Spirit / NotioN / Secon / Andy Pain & Z Connection / Kije, to name a few.
Also listen out for our new sub label, Turbine Music.
