I've decided to try and find two new DNBforum moderators to help out around the forums. One to replace freeagent who doesn't seem to be contact-able by any means at the moment, and the second to bring the team up to a healthy four moderators. The job itself is pretty easy, simply to make sure threads are located in the correct forums and users that abuse the forum by being aggressive or spamming are dealt with accordingly. I would like the candidates to have good experience of using forums, especially our very own DNBforum, and be a regular / well-liked face among the community we have here. So if you think you are up for the job or you would like to nominate another member of this ever-growing community (preferred), please do so within this thread only. We already have two moderators and two administrators within the United Kingdom, so I would really prefer someone to the east and west of the UK so they're on while we're either in bed or at work! Obviously this position is unpaid, so you would be doing it out of love for Drum & Bass and for that warm fuzzy feeling you get when you ban someone. However in the past we have provided our loyal moderators with a little incentive in the way of our small range of clothing as a thank you. I'll leave the rest down to you lot - Thank you!
I'd have a crack at it, been here for a while now, approaching the 1000posts mark, contributed with some mixes and tunes and whatnot, located far east and having easy working hours means that I can access dnbforum at any time, day or night. To nominate someone, I'd suggest Mesh, for the same reasons above.
Maybe me. I'm here a lot even in the late hours. I like this board and I got time enough. The other person I want to nominate is Dustek. Another foreign guy who spends here a lot of time.
i'd have a go at it. i think indi or mesh would be better for the far east crew though, both been here longer and contribute a bit more. i dont really post outside of the waffle forum much, i just lurk. i might seem a bit newby here but i've been a forum whore for a few years now i am on here a fair bit during the day though as my other favourite forum is blocked from work.
Agreed, Dustek has made a large contribution to the forums in the time he has been here, and he has a very refreshing attitude towards dnb and life.
id have a go but i dont think n e 1 likes me lol but if i had to nominate i would say mesh and my long lost bro indi!
Thanks guys for the nice words, big up , but I think I'm a little bit too combative (in my opinion) and I'm only + 1 GMT. I'd say: Mesh (laid back and tries to calm things down), Indi (good attitude and timezone...) and Twisted Murderer (keeps it chill).
Cheers fellas, thank you for the kind words. Bad Ace mate, loads of peeps like you, mainly because of the tracks you make and the pic of you and your sis peeling your back And its birthday time again next week, so Stu might give you a birthday present by giving you the ability to ban Jay Walker. Only joking Jay
If I was mod, I'd ban popeye for his racist chav comments (but not 12inch). Like I said, I'm too agressive and combative.
I think if your looking for the overseas heads then Indi would be a good call he's got some good opinions & is pretty fair (well can be when he wants) Also I reckon Mesh would be a good shout.
I reckon Sayber and Indi have the posts, the mixes and the personality to be best mods. thanks for the mentions guys
