i am so EXTREMELY dissapointed. thats about all i have to say about that.

i bought 'the magnificent trio' which was indeed a shaw brothers classic and i bought 'seven swords' which was real good albet a tad lengthy. and 'old boy' of course which i regard as one of the best movies of all time. korean movies rule.

I thought the movie was pretty good..only thing lacking was that they didn't show how 'V' got all those people on his side.

They just showed the one time when he aired himself on tv at the television station. Story was kind of choppy..

Cool mask tho.

I liked the setting of a totalitarian Britain, and the theme and imagery running throughout the film was godd, mainly because of the reality that the UK could be like that one day, especially considering the way things are going now.
But yeah, overall the film was a bit poo, and I thought that V, as the hero, was so out of place in this film.

The comic was anti-Tory.

Funny thing is that Labour has turned the country into more of a police state than the Conservatives ever tried. Then again, socialists like do that.

Give me liberty over security ANY day.

Saw it at the weekend - an i loved it - an I thought it was slick, stylish, fast-paced, brutal, clever an dark as a mo-fo.

A true anti-hero. :2thumbs:

Seems like the general publis is slaggin the movie...

I thought it was ok. I really like distopian literature and i especially like distopian movies. I thought alot of the cinimatography was well done in that it really created a dark mood for the film. I liked the fact that V was a renaissance man, although V was a female in the Graphic Novel, it worked in this film. The action scenes were well choreographed and probably were my favorite point about the film.

For all the people who were expecting more and say the film did not deliver...I can understand your point. However you must consider that there are far more movies that are harder to believe than this one was. And in the greater scheme of things this film was fairly enjoyable to watch at least once (More so than the cheesy ass matrix sequels).
