could be a retarded question, but if theres an answer it will save me a few quid. i have an akai mpk25 keyboard and a saffire 6 interface. obviously i want to connect the keyboard to the interface via midi. the question is, is there a way of "bypasing" the usb function on the keyboard, but still allowing it to transmit the power. the short of it is i dont have a 6v adapter and if i can save buying one i will. if its a retarded question and a simple no, just say so! thanks in advance

Depends.
If u use mac, u can deactivate the AkaiMpk25 midi interface drivers from the midi interface control panel of the osx.
In that case u can use the midi input of the sound card for the selected midi tracks into ur sequencer.
Anyway, doesn't really need to be switched off the midi interface...

cheers for the reply. im running windows so not an option. i just bought a power adapter in the end. its a shame the latency of usb is so shit!
