It's not a problem that I have, as I was lazy and just used my real name as my production & DJ name

but a few of my mates who started off DJ'ing and are known as DJ 'Something' have now started producing and found that being called DJ something has meant a lot of people think they just mix or the tracks they produce and just made up of loops.

Has anyone else had this experience?

EDIT: I know there are established producers who do this such as DJ Fresh, Hazard, Marky etc.

Its just a name... it really doesnt matter once your releasing tracks...

but i see what you mean about having dj in front of your name.... as i chose mine because i dint want people to think i was just a dj... because i do alot of other stuff.. not just dj'n or producing....

I would rather people know that I'm a dj as well as a producer, but yeah, at the end of the day it doesn't really matter

Just a name, let the music do the talking

Yeah dont really matter I guess, its just a name. But I'd never want DJ in front of my name.
