usb SATA/IDE converter to get files of Hard drive?

    Thank you, I shall have a look at those.
    It's a small hard drive out of a macbook, I imagine there are loads of different hard drive designs with different connections. Also, I have seen some that have no mains power supply and believe they will not work.

    My link does not show what drive I have? What do you mean?
    I need to plug my seagate macbook hard drive, into a device ( either a caddy or the thing in my link )
    It is SATA and USB.
    Cant understand what I need tbh. How do I know that the caddy will have the same connections as the hard drive?
    Imagine it turning up, then I try to plug my HD in and its a completely different fitting :(
