Nah the Chch scene isn't that bad. Worse would be Auckland. Only thing I would worry about is that it's at the University so could attract a few douchebags, but usually when it's someone from the harder end of the dnb spectrum, the crowd is alright.

Wish I was back home for this, going in Melbourne next weekend and despite the no doubt strong Kiwi crew that will be there, it just won't be the same as a dirty old Chch gig.

The Upbeats and Chch have some sort of weird symbiotic bond going and whenever they play there the vibe is just huge and people go fucking NUTS.

Wish I had been down there for it. From Chch originally but moved up to Auckland to live. I was really hoping they would be on a few weeks ago when I was down in Chch but was unlucky with the timing!
