aloha! i think this is ready to go but not sure about various areas, have three Qs:

1) bass frequencies: wasn't happy with the bass for most of production time. is the bass strong enough or too much behind? I much EQed around 30 and 70 Hz. how comes the bass across on your speakers?
2) high frequencies: I EQed quite a bit of the area around 500Hz, after that high freq. came out clear and shiny on my sound system. still, there is some annoying high freq. somewhere in the hihats, dunno where. any advise?
3) as I focussed much on bass and hats frequencies, once the track was ready I realised the main chords are way too EDMish for my liking. should I take those out (1:53 and 4:31) ?

thanks a lot, robert! are the bass and hihat freq. coming through well on your sound system? any advice on making this sound better?

Its very nice... I like richness in this track. Sound design wise i don't have many complaints, There could be a little more detail in your EQ carving as there is a little clash and the drums are not as punchy as they could be. Just remember to give everything its own space, don't get me wrong though this is by no means muddy.

Song wise its not my thing but that's completely subjective. I also found myself skipping through at 1.54 since you removed the sub there and it felt empty even with new pattern. Mabye get some mad filtering on your drops and this could actually be very cool.

And if it was me id pitch everything down 2 octaves and re EQ ahahah... i jest.

thanks very much manuforti, very kind words and good advice. :2thumbs:
i'll look into a filter for the chords, maybe that helps. lol on the 2 octave thing, i know what you mean :) this track isn't deep at all.
cheers for saying it doesn't sound muddy to you. i'm still not happy with the master sound though, not clear & open enough .. I just don't know how to improve it.

Hey. I really like melodic track`s like this from you (y)
1.The bass (the sub part of it) is really defined and comes through clearly and warm. Also the mid bass starting at 3:00 is ducking other elements a bit.
2.The higher freq. to my taste are too loud in the 5000 freq. range which give it a more flat character. (but this might be my sound system so.. it sounds good regardless)
3.No way the chords are fitting and awsome :D !

Cool, this is my style! The trance kinda melody is really uplifting and dancefloor suited, well done! Only the snare sounds a bit flat imo.
Although, the 2nd bass part adds some nice variation!

What you could do to find that annoying frequency is use a bell shape EQ and put to the gain of it to the top, sweep it around in the high freq area to find the annoying frequency.

Furthermore, great tune!

THANK YOU flux, very kind words. I will check the ducking effect at 3:00 min and the 5k freq. issue. cheers for your technical input, appreciated !! :)

hello battletek. great feedback, thanks a lot!! glad you like this track. i will check if I can find any tutorials on the BELL SHAPE EQing, interesting advise! cheers! :)

A little too EDM for my tastes but sounding very crisp and certainly impressed with the production levels. Drums sound a little disjointed to me and could do with something to bring them together, the different layers are noticeably distinct. Especially at 2:40 when you drop out the synths. A bit of saturation and compression may help gel them together a bit. Bass freqs sound fine on my AKG 550 headphones but agree that it does occasionally swamp some of the other elements.

Always impressed with your work ethic and the speed at which you seem to produce new material. Nice summer vibe and lots of energy. Keep it up!

I am loving it with one exception. I wish you brought more interesting bass tones into your tracks. You have these wonderful melodies and rather... meh, basses. For example, from the drop up until 1:53 you have this great melodic build up, and then you do that supersaw stab da da da dat. If you change that into a super cool bassline with loads of high and mid bass character on a funky groove I would cum in my pants. More over when the supersaw comes in and you have already introduce that awesome bass, if you did a call and answer you could quit your job because you are making all your money being a producer.
The mix sounds good and the drums sound great to me.
Great song.
Have you ever herd of Ben Sage? A bit of an older producer but I think you should check out some of his stuff.

hello IV4. thanks, i'm glad you like the track but too kind words. noted you aren't fond of supersaw :)
i think i made my point before saying i won't commercialise any of my music. it's simply a hobby for me.
i know ben sage, he was (still is?) a name in the trance scene. believe or not, i used to be a trance guy before i was into house.
i even travelled to full moon parties in thailand, india, eqypt, japan around the year 2000 quite a few times ...
PS: I heard about the recent loss in your family, my condolences. be strong!
