just realize that labels are very nosy, tactile/nepotistic.
nosy in that they start to know who you are when you've worked your ass off and everyone else knows who you are. thats when they start circling.
tactile/nepotistic, in that that these guys base alot of decisions on hanging out with said artist, and "hookin up" their( said label guy's) peeps, even if they've only known those peeps for a few weeks. thats why it's easier to land deals in the hot spots, like london; because it is a hands on environment where a label can just call you and meet up, without all the logistics.
don't fret though...it seems as though you've got a bead on things, and if you get out there a little, you should have no trouble. by the way, the track is dope
