I saw this tune on redeye and ordered it immediately only to find it's not the High contrast mix, it's utter dogshit.
A nice intro from the FSOL tune soon drops into a shit mix of a real tinny drum machine 2 step break with a poorly EQ'ed amen over it and some seriously weak bass throbs under that.
Tinny as fuck and a total waste of money.
I'm gutted!
The B side is just as crap but not as catchy.

That'll teach me to buy blind. First and last time i've done it on the net

Sappo - What I Need Remixes

Finally the remixes of one of my favourite Sappo tunes.
THe Sappo remix goes for the "if it aint broke don't fix it" philosophy and goes for a very similar approach to the original but with much much tighter drums and even deeper bass and a few more FX. More of a polish up job than a remix but is just as good as the original.
The Sketch & Kode remix seems OK but is not as original as the Sappo tune and goes for a very distorted tech sound but wioth a quite catchy bassline. Still wasn't my cup of tea tho and i'm not sure it's award winning in the eyes of the techstep heads either.

Sappo's mix is :slayer: :slayer: but Sketch & Kode didn't seem to be able to capture the magic of this tune.

Dont mind this too much. Know wot you mean about the poor amen levels (bit like Music is so Wonderful rmx) but its not too bad if you play about with the eq's.

I heard a bootleg remix of it from this board. It was decent, but not spectacular. I imagine this is the same one that you bought. I hope to comes around to my neck of the woods as I'd probably buy it.

The DJ Vibes "Obsession (2002 bootleg rmx)" was mastered rather badly, I'll agree with that. I hardly listen to my copy anymore.
