BCUK (Maldini & Vegas)

With their collaborative 12” for DJ Hype & Pascal’s Ganja-Tek imprint riding high in the sales charts, Maldini & Vegas have once again cemented their reputation as fearsome producers with an ear for the nastiest basslines in the business. Meanwhile their label, Bad Taste, is still rolling out some of the heaviest sounds around as the long awaited Spor and The Upbeats remixes of ‘Bullet Time’ dropped a couple of months back.

Preparing their third instalment of the ‘Bad Taste’ album series including tracks from BLOKHE4D, Audio, Prolix, Optiv, Uman, The Upbeats and of course Maldini & Vegas themselves, you can rest assured that these boys still have an arsenal full of serious D&B weaponry to unleash in their DJ sets.

Dieselboy [New Addition]

Yes, Unique Artists welcomes the first of two new additions to their roster. Dieselboy has been the USA’s premiere D&B DJ for well over a decade, with his incredible mix CDs and the infamous Planet of the Drums tours garnering him almost rock star status in his native country.

Dieselboy’s Human Imprint label has always stood as a bastion of quality, hard-hitting drum & bass and DSL is ready to ramp up the release schedule with a series of massive 12”s as well as a new project entitled Sub Human, set to cater for the sounds of dubstep and electro.

Watch out for Dieselboy’s studio collaborations with Gridlok and The Upbeats, as well as a remix of Cause4Concern’s ‘Seawolf’ with label mate SPKTRM.

Available UK & EU dates:

September: 4th, 11th

October: 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 25th, 26th, 27th, 29th, 30th

Empress

Despite being one of the scene’s most easy-on-the-eye DJs, Empress’ reputation is built on her endless love of the music and her undeniable skill behind the decks. Her fans have been eagerly awaiting her first forays into producing an album for some time now and we are happy to announce that the project is nearly complete.

The LP is called ‘Disconnect’ and will be a combination of all the sounds and inspirations that Empress has embraced in the last year, locked away in her New York based studio.

You can keep updated on her progress at www.christinaempress.com or on Twitter www.twitter.com/empresstwits. Or you can go one better and book her for a sneak peak of what her album will contain.

J Majik & Wickaman

Not content with reworking some of the biggest dance tracks of the past few years (Deadmau5’ ‘I Remember’ and The Egg’s ‘Walking Away’ for those who aren’t paying attention), J Majik & Wickaman have been holed up in the studio putting together the follow up to 2007’s ‘Crazy World’ album.

Secrecy surrounds this new project, but we’re told it may be titled ‘Mosquito’ after the lead track which has been getting plenty of DJs hot under the collar since the pair unleashed it from the studio.

Sigma

The name Sigma seems to be on a lot of people’s lips right now. Their recent track ‘Paint It Black’ was snapped up by Hospital Records for their recent ‘Sick Music’ compilation and ended up plastered all over Annie Mac’s Radio 1 show. Meanwhile the boys have just completed two big remixes for major labels.

Nextmen & Groove Armada ft. Ms. Dynamite ‘Lions Den’ (Sigma Remix) is forthcoming on Universal, while their nifty rework of R&B vocalist McLean’s ‘Broken’ will come out on Atlantic later in the year. Not only that but Ed Rush & Optical have stepped up to remix ‘Hi Top’ for Viper Recordings’ ‘Acts of Mad Men’ LP and Sigma’s own label, Life Recordings, is just about to drop its second release.

Did we mention collabs with DJ Fresh too? There’s not enough room!

The guys have also been nominated as Best Newcomer DJ in this Years dnbarena Awards! Check out their recent mix for Crissy Criss on 1Xtra here

Stu C4C [New Addition]

Cause4Concern became one of the D&B scene’s most sought after foursomes after a string of huge releases around the turn of the millennium. Tracks like ‘Phat Cap’, ‘Research’ and their remix of Pressure Rise’s ‘She’s In Your Mind’ for Aspect Records threw the quartet into the mix as some of the heaviest producers around.

Now Cause4Concern have slimmed themselves down to a trio and have been dropping a whole host of fresh material on their own label and a decade since he started Stu C4C is still going just as strong with recent solo releases on Subtitles and Subsonik Sound.

And now Unique Artists is proud to announce they will be representing Stu and his fearsome DJ skills. Skills you can check yourself with this exclusive Stu C4C mix.
