Soaring straight out of the hotbed of drum and bass talent that is Russia, Place 2b lands his debut on Trust In Music, armed to the teeth with not just 4, but 5 razor sharp neuro cuts for his ‘In The End’ EP.
His lead track ‘In The End’ opens proceedings with super tight drums, horror fx and a ripping mid bass riff, catapulting you head first into his twisted vision. ‘Warpath’, a monster from the deep created with partner in crime Krot then pulls you under with arpeggiated synths before slamming you with reese basses and razor sharp edits. ‘Wikus van de Merwe’ runs out tightly with technoid percussion and a heavy square bass whilst the ‘Iron Man VIP’ is turned into a more rolling affair than the original – yet is now even more in your face and energetic. This massive EP is rounded off with ‘Deeper Underground’, a deeper piece with haunting pads and bleeps that draws you even further in to the place to be for essential neuro and tech step.
