Haven't seen any thread about the new Trei's album!

I've had a quick listen through beatport, it looks pretty good..

    Thoughts?

I was going to make a thread about it but I thought fuck it, what's the point when it will end up with 1 or 2 replies whilst everybody else argues about

    A) Sub Focus releasing a second album
    B) Chase & Status selling out
    C) Whether Jump up or liquid is better
    D) Original Sin
    E) 'Insert Jump up producer's name here'

Trei has produced a very good album, one that should not be overlooked but in the case of this forum at least, almost certainly will be.

totally agree, slightly under rated album and went partially under a lot of peoples radars, but it's a brilliant forward thinking genre breaking piece of work. you can't really pin it down to any one sound, and he's definatly forging his own way. this and the 12" he recently had on shogun have been getting battered by myself lately.
looking forward to hearing more stuff from him, AND the samurai camp.

Yeah its a pretty good album, feeling most of the tunes. The 12 hes got on shogun kills it tho

His more recent releases have been grabbing me. Never knew he had an album coming out - i will certainly give it a listen - and probably end up liking it.

Saw him in Melbourne week and a half ago, and can second this. I've recently been more about Justify/Sound Down, but haven't given all tracks on the album a proper listen yet.

Can't believe i slept on this album, just got it, its fucking sick. to me this is what dancefloor drum and bass should sound like, all driving drums and energy but still retaining melody and musicality. would love to see him in london town! big up trei

I'd like to echo once more what has already been said in this thread

If you've been sleeping on this album then it's time to wake up and get acquainted with it.
