Tracks you wish were on vinyl...

some people just prefer vinyl. telling to get a serato is like telling a all digital guy to buy a vinyl turntable and a record, because some track is vinyl only.

also,

There are loads of great digital only tracks but for me this is the best. Possibly the best track on DnAudio and that's saying something

Too many to even begin. That's why I bagged serato.

I know it's not the same as proper wax but it's a hell of a lot better than getting every tune that's digi only cut to a plate... Too much money. Serato'll do me fine.

Why don't some big tunes hit vinyl? If they are popular enough and in demand, it surely should get a vinyl release, IMO...

Vinyl is a dying medium as much as I continue to buy it.

It's not even about it being popular enough, some tunes didn't get pressed like Colourwheel for example for other reasons. Allegedly, Hospital went and asked the fans what tunes they wanted pressed to wax for the Logistics album at the time, and SOMEHOW it didn't get pressed.

You have to bear in mind that producers are trying to reach out to all audiences across all mediums, and obviously digital is that. Your more likely to find someone new to mixing or DJing going for the digital route over vinyl than say 10 years ago for the pure factor that A) its cheaper to buy your tunes & B) you don't get all the shit about not getting tunes because they didn't get pressed etc.

Word.

I love the idea of using Vinyl, A pair of Technics loaded with wax is a far more pleasant sight than CDJ's or Timecoded Vinyl. But at the end of the day I want to bag the tunes I want to bag, being limited in what you can purchase only serves to dilute the mixing experience, why let stubbornness get in the way of your enjoyment?

Also the ability to discover a tune and 5 minutes later be mixing with it is one I can no longer live without.

Also less cost to output music for labels = less risk of signing an artist = more artists = everyone's happy

Also...

(you get the idea)

just get it cut for 30 quid

Better yet £18 for 2 sides.. so £9 each..

Also..

Loxy & Resound - Leagues Deep
Raiden - Fallin' (Revisited)
Seba - Snow
Logistics - Intervention & Colour Wheel
Dub Phizix - Codec, Handmade & Domepiece
Stray - Can of Cancun..

List goes on for a while.. also I'd love to have all the 170 dub being released by guys like Morphy, The Untouchables, Flatliners and co. on wax

True to an extent but I see this as a double edged sword. While it is great, I kind of miss coming home like a kid at Christmas to see if Mr Postman has been round. The postman has robbed me of Christmas. Cunt.

I picked up Tread This Land / Raw Fi Dub too, but I find it SO touch sensitive to mix, with the huge middle hole that has to sit round that metal / plastic adapter. Need to spend some more time getting used to mixing them as both sides are wicked.

Picked up that Alphacut bit too & all the tunes are quality :) All three of those new EP's on Alpha Cutaurii (Alphacuts sister label) are wicked too

45Seven and Alpha Cutauri are my new obsessions. Absolutely superb
