I have a 1:30 sample off the internet of this track with Dynamite MCing over it (sounds fucking awesome)

Anyway, it sounds almost EXACTLY like "Hey DJ" by Kamanchi

Except it has a different bassline, and the sample says
"Yeah, the BASSLINE is Rolling rolling rolling"

anyone know? is it "Hey DJ" remix?

Hey Dj had been around for fucking ages before it got released so it might have just been an earlier version of the tune.

I have a Brian G tape from late '99 and he plays a version on there which has a slightly different intro. Couldnt tell you if the b-lines different tho as the tape fades out right on the drop!

No, I don't think it's an earlier version,...

The tracks sounds MORE polished and together than "Hey DJ" and the bassline has a simpler, descending pattern and is MUCH heavier than "Hey DJ", whose bass kinda goes all over the scale.

Also the beats on this mystery track follow the same style as "Hey DJ" : CHOP-CHOP-CHOP-CHOP-CHOP -amen

I KNOW it is some kinda remix...

Yeah,...the BASSLINE is rollin' rollin' rollin'

Does it sound a bit older than stuff from '99?

There's a Roni Size & Krust tune called Bass Is Rollin' that has that same sample in it but it's a few years older.

Does it have the same kinda chopped amen pattern as "Hey DJ"?

If so,...then you are correct.
