Too many filters.

Workin on this reese in reason 4.

I have 4 M class filters shaping the sound.

sharp cuts at various frequencies, couple boosts. Seems like everytime i add a filter there is something to boost or cut, is this normal?

its pretty hard to say anything without having a look at how uve set it up...

but to me it sounds like uve got a LP filter on it and its missing the top distorted half of it.

what i think what you are getting at (and cut/boosting) is the resonance peak of the filters. you can have frequency cuts without resonant peaks if you fiddle a bit more. res or q usually helps with defining a filter sweep and what i use resonance for but for basslines; generally less uncontrolled resonance is better.

When i bypass all the filters it sounds better. Im going to start over, f-ck this filter business.
