Today...

I could have walked away with a free fenchurch jumper from TK Maxx as the girl did not scan things right. I thought wow that's cheaper than I thought it would be. I left and realised she had not scanned it. Me being honest went back and said I have not paid for this...

I just thought every time I wear it I will feel like a shoplifter

What would you have done?

If you had every intention of paying the first time round and they messed up, then you're not shop lifting it's just a stroke of luck. Shoulda kept walking.

No need to be that honest if its a big corporation

On the other hand if you walked out of a struggling independant record shop and realised they hadn't charged you for something you'd be a bit of a cunt not to go back and pay

I had this happen to me a few weeks back, except it was at tesco's and it involved a case of Stella. Needless to say as soon as i noticed the price for what i had was loads less than it should be I just kept on talking to the woman whilst i entered my pin and fucked off sharpish.

I was thinking the same thing, I left and for some reason when I got to the bus stop (which was very near) I thought maybe I should go back. So I blame the bus for not being there. If it was under a tenner I would have kept it

you shoulda had the jumper for free, fair and square. an employee's error is your luck. you can find some real gems in TK Maxx, a lot of mates walk in there with thier old skate shoes on, and leave with a brand new pair on thier feet

Something like this happened to me yesterday actually,

I go to a little shop everyday for my morning danish pastry and red bull and the old bint behind the counter gave me 70p too much change.
I turned and walked away quite happy that I was 70p up then she said "have a lovely day"
I thought for fuck sake, I cant take this. So I gave her the money back and I didnt even get a thank you. Last time I do anything for some old hag I tell you that much.

Yeah I should have kept it, she didn't even say thank you either. With small things it is ok, like I got some free portfolio wallets because the lady did not count them, and I told her I had 10 when I had picked up some more by mistake. But with £20 I thought I would go back

surely the more expensive the item is the more advantageous it is not to say anything and get out of there?

kinda happened to me in subway. was really busy, put me thru as a 6" sub of the day, when actually id got a footlong, which wasnt sub of the day. anyway i was really chatty to her , then i left sharpish before she could realise her mistake.. tasted soo much better.

i went into tkmaxx in blackpool and bought 2 tee's and some jeans. she didnt scan one of the tee's. when she said the price i think we both realised what she'd done but she was too ashamed to admit it, i let it slip because i'm a twat. :teeth:

Purchasing items from TkMaxx is day light robbery and indeed a crime to fashion aswell.

I study fashion actually. I used to work at TK Maxx too come to think of it. Oh dear

You can get some good stuff in the Maxx but you have to have the time to look for it
