been away for a while with this horrid illness!

please please please invest in earplugs if you go out to loud venues... the ringing will do your head in...

my left ear is f****d.. going to hospital on wednesday to see a specialist, not looking forward to it!

please don't take my poor example, you know it makes sense!

I have this too. I've warn ear plugs at these concerts ever since ~1997.

Yeah, as from Valve in January I think I'll be wearing some new custom earplugs, hearing is too much to lose.

Unlucky dude =/

I don't go to too many concerts, and the ones I do go to are freebies. However, I get ringing every now and then from listening to this discman. It isn't Hell, but still...

Shit mate,

That is fucking harsh

Hope it all works out in the end for you

Another reason why 2002 has been a shit year to add to the collection.

:thumbsd:

:| That's rough man, hope they'll be able to help you out in some way. I guess this is something that could affect most users of the forum so it's good that it's brought to everyone's attention.

I got some earplugs from Boots a while back, but have unfortunately forgotten them every damn time I've been out since :-/ Let's hope this kicks my arse into gear.

i've not even switched my studio on for a week

i'm starting to go crazy!!!!!!

seeing the doc again tomorrow so i'll report my findings to you all :)

I think Broken minds will eventually do that to me.
Why the fuck must dnb nights turn it up so loud that all you can hear is hissing and nothing else.
Dnb nights needs to start investing in sound engineers who know what the fuck they're doing.

You must have quite a serious case of this. What I have is a near silent ring in my ears that I can only here when theres total quiet. So because of this I can't sleep at night without a few fans running in my room (for white noise).

Does this tend to slowly build up over time and get worse and worse or just hit you straight away.

I always find that I have a bit of a ringing just when it's totally silent but it just seems like a kind of static sound. Does it just build up from that?
When it's totally silent a really really quiet sound is much louder than during the day when you can hear a little noise. I only notice this kind of sound then.

Are there any really good earplugs to think of buying?
Something that still allows you to hear the music well but still keeps the painful high end noise out?

this has nothing to do with tinnitus... but sometimes after a heavy cone i "hear" a fucking high ringing, it fucking kills me every time and it's only on one side. Lucky it doesn't go on for long though.

anyway that's some bad shit, hoe the doc can do something!!

hmmm. looks like i'm stuck with it, however i swear it's getting quieter, unless of course i'm becoming accoustomed to it.

regardless, i'm still buying some ear plugs!
