This time 10 years ago, who was the best Dj on the scene?

    I've got it tied between Hype, Mampi & Andy C.

    Hard to pick a clear cut winner due to them all being on serious form.

    Zinc defo, I remember when he was beat juggling Signal back in the day, shit was fucking crazy. Mampi very close though.

    I remember Hype SMASHING it so many times back then.

    He was on some serious form.

    Andy was fucking crazy tight in the mix as well.

    As one of the few old enough to remember I'd say this is correct. Never got the hype around Zinc.

    Definitely a toss up between DJ Hype and Mampi, Nicky definitely deserves an honourable mention...

    Andy was tight back then, but he wasn't widely regarded as 'the best' until he started doing his three deck mixes and afaik he didn't start doing them until around 2004.

    just remembered that i've got a tape pack from around 2000 with ray keith, brockie, randall, kenny, hype and andy on... might have to go listen to that again...

    What a load of rubbish. I remember the nights at the end when no-one could touch Andy C. You would not get the end packed out like that for many other dj's.

    Mampi was special from 98 to 2002 imo.
