It’s that time of the month again and boy do we feel bloated! The Knowledge radio show is almost upon us and breathing down our necks with its raw beats and belly-bustin’ basslines. Once again we will be bringing you the best audio treats from our arsenal of knowledge (pun intended) just for your listening pleasure. After all, we are born to service you anyway we can and make sure you leave with a smile on your face. No one has ever left us less than 100% satisfied.

The crazy medic Dr Khan will be delivering a lethal selection of the freshest drum’n’bass, breaks and hip-hop to make you feel all warm and cosy inside. Basically think of it as an extension of what we do in the magazine and on the website, but put into words, sounds and grunts. This time round the Dr. will be operating on Thursday the 14th so scrub yourself down well and prepare for surgery. He’ll be dropping all manner of fresh dubs, promos, and white labels...basically having access to all the forthcoming tunes that are so heavy they will be sending dancefloors back into the stone age.

Joining our resident “medicine man” this month will be DJ Fu, a multi talented decktician who will be laying fine slices of hip hop loveliness. For those not in the know about DJ Fu, he graces the ones and twos as the Jungle Drummers main DJ so you can be sure he is worth his salt.

As well as that, if that’s not enough to squeeze into two hours, we’ve got the “producer’s corner” where we profile a chosen…erm…producer. In a small trip down memory lane we will be accessing the“tune from the vault” to shed a tear on times gone by.

Also on the menu is another dope competition that should have all fans of UK hip hop salivating like rabid dogs, all courtesy of Dat Sound Management. Three lucky winners will get the thumping new album from lyrical maestro Yungun and his partner in crime Mr Thing called ‘Grown Man Business’. As we are feeling in a generous mood we will also throw in brand spanking new copies of Harry Love & Verb T’s new release ‘Bring It Back (To Basics)’.

To be in with a chance of winning, all you have to do is answer this easy question:

    Vanilla Ice’s real name is?

    A) Norbert Van Sprinkle
    B) Vanilla Ice
    C) Robert Van Winkle
    D) Cornelius Von Pee Pee

You can answer the question on the Life FM website (, the winner will be announced at the end of September’s show.

Finally if that’s not enough: any aspiring producers out there who want to get some air play this is your chance…this is open to unsigned artists only, so if that’s you AIM your stuff over to saraknowledge and if she likes what she hears you might just have made your first step towards the giddy heights of superstardom.

So etch this into you eyelids:, Thursday 14 September, 8 – 10pm, The Knowledge Magazine Show. No excuses…
