sounds like Apache break to me, with something else over it?

there used to be a wicked fan-made vid for that tune on youtube, using scenes from jaws. seems to have been taken down..

Hmm, I dont think it is. Its that 'buup' sound thats quite distinctive, unless it is Apache or another (http://www.junglebreaks.co.uk) thats notched down a few octaves. I might have a play in Ableton, if I get the time.

I will try and find that fan video though, that sounds great.

You can hear it better at 2:32, I really dont think thats the same Apache loop, whilst it might be a bongo. Maybe its not a known loop, and just an instrument.

There's more than one break that originated by The Incredible Bongo Band. Could be one of them.

Tune sounds like it uses Apache, but the question is whether it's a 2nd gen, and if so, what record did they sample directly?

I'll put you out of your misery mate.
    It's 'Untitled' by Hardnoise.
    Just a backed-up Apache.
    Enjoy.

It's an apache with this over it: https://www.sendspace.com/file/6t96p8

I'm not sure of the original source but it got used loads in this form, which is bitcrushed to hell, probably to save memory in a very old sampler.
