So being as there's a Lost thread, there should be a thread about the best TV program of all time.

    Yes, it is that good.

    Anybody else seen it?

All 5 seasons are a must watch. £60 or so for the complete boxset on play.com. Get to know!

Omar's my favourite character. Despite being a homo, he's a proper G. Don't give a fuck about anything, walking around with that shotgun just robbing drug dealers while whistling that pirate tune.

The plot and scrptwriting it absolute genious.

In fact, everything about it is amazing.

yup, seen it. very good series, but highly overrated imo. The storyline really started to bore me after a couple of seasons, found it become repetitive and over-political. compared to other hbo stuff like sopranos and six feet under, I really don't get how people rate the wire over series like that. although the acting was good and the story very clever, it didn't leave me with my jaws dropped down in the end. BUT it could also be attributed to the fact that I don't like cops... and series made about them.
and yes, omar is fucking cool. even the biggest homophobes could sympathize with a character like that.

Best series I've ever watched. I watched the whole 5 seasons in 2 weeks.

Favourite characters had to be Chris and Snoop. Stone cold killers with a nail gun.

Haha, Snoop's voice is weird as fuck.

Without spoling it for people... that scene in season 4 when Chris loses it on that guy is raw!

I don't get how people got bored of it. There's a million things happening in every episode like.

Ha ha! Thanks for this Brofski. Yeah man, killer show! Love Omar as well. Lot of great characters on the show though. Lot of great scences too. I'm gonna constantley bump this thread with choice scenes from time to time. One that comes to mine is when Mcnulty smashed as fuck keeps powering his car around a turn and crashing into an underpass
over and over cuz he's trying to firgure something out.

I was exactly the same. i watched the first 3 episodes like twice before I got into it but it's worth it once you do

McNulty's accent in season 1 is shocking at times though! You can proper hear him slip into his UK accent in most of those episodes
