Definitely not the worst song to be #2, but it just feels hollow, for lack of a better word. Those trancey stabs would sound so much better played on an electric guitar through a chorus pedal.
eiffel 32s "im blue". a one hit wonder that still resonates in pop culture today. kings of leon wish they could do what "im blue" did. the vocal performance in the intro (without the vocoder) is so inspired it has all the phrasing and momentum of a six year old ranting coming off a sugar rush, and the name "eiffel 64" was two random words they saw on a coffe table. they were italian you see. anyway the charts, if you want to maintain sanity and a shred of respect for the human race youre best off never turning on the tv or radio again. i watched a lot of tv in my early 20s and i could barely breathe for all the hatered i felt, which had been instilled in me by tv. i also had a powerful lust for golden adidas and stuff puff daddy did on mtv. so a very disturbing state of mind, full to the brim with hate and desire. of course now i shite in a bucket.
I don't understand. Are we upset about this? I need something to chase with pitchforks and torches and such. Let's go to war
I'm fucking furious, Mackelmore needs to be at least 54 positions higher, I have tons of Mackelmore albums and the love he put in the latest justifies a vastly higher position
samuel. james. yes. this is good reason to be upset and we should by all rights be at war. im going to the skatepark with these 10% beers. im on a highway to hell. and im going down all the way.
that daft punk track is a grower, hated it at first now i sing along to it in the car feeling fabulous
Much groovier(did i just say that?) intro on the full version of the Daft Punk tune compared to the radio edit
