    stupid idea imo.

"give billions to tackle poverty and climate change"

climate change is a naturally occurring phenomenon, that cannot be stopped, slowed down, or changed in any way shape or form. spending not milions, but billions on a lost cause is the most idiotic thing in the history mankind!

we should spend money to prepare people for the changs that may or may not be happening over the next few million years...

and people are in poverty because of our capitalist system.. if some are to be incredibly wealthy, then others have to be incredibly poor.. simple as that.

    thankyou.

I think its a good idea in theory. I think Bank's should be taxed. It was the tax payers money that bailed them out in the first place. Why shouldn't something be given back? Otherwise it seems that the bankers are going to rinse the system as per usual.

yes we should potentially "robin hood tax", but i feel the money raised should be used to tackle issues much closer to home and within our own country, perhaps use it to start paying off this countries own deficit before we start pledging it abroad or to other issues, lets get our house in order first

Too right, this country spends too much time worrying about earthquakes and floods on the other side of the world and not enough sorting out our own problems. Our economys been a complete mess for the last few years, and were all expected to send our money out of it to re-build some other fuckers houses? Nah mate.

I think how the money would be spent is a side subject, the main thing is that the bankers should be taxed on their transactions.
