The OFFICIAL dnbforum THUGSTEP thread

Shitty emcees though....

well that's the thing. people say "why not use mc's like mf doom or aesop rock" and such - the way they flow, it doesn't work as well as the more crunk/dirty south MCs. the dubstep tempo fits them more than someone like jay-z - their flows are a bit faster, so even when synched, it doesnt sound as well. now im no fan of a lot of these dirty south mc's, but when i hear tracks like these refixes, it works. its almost as if the rhymes are more or less another instrument.

i dunno, a bit too heavy for monday morning thugstep, but thats how i see it. im gonna up one of the refixes nappy did, an aesop rock one, next month...

Well I downloaded some stuff, and I see what you mean.

Their voice/flow fits with it well.

But no matter how hard I try, I can't blank out the MCs shitty lyrics and annoying catchphrases.

after years of listening to sub-par dnb mcs wrecking sets, i'd think it might be a bit easier :)

i kid, i kid...
