If you dont know about the Hive project see here:

What I was after as we are making this a private/invite only network, what criteria should we set for people being allowed in.

A few ideas:

Producers only (should we include dj's/distributors etc)

Minimum share for entry (dont want any leechers maybe a min 50 meg share?)

Should we only allow ppl with Broadband or better connections considereing potential files sizes, i.e. high quality mp3 prob looking between 10-20mb file sizes.

Bear in mind we want to have collaboration/feedback on dubs/unfinished files and samples, so keep this in mind when thinking of suggestions.

2gb... hmm, lets say high qual mp3 on average track about 15mb

would be 133 tracks which I think is a little unrealistic....

Remember this is for sharing material created by the artists of the hub only, no illegal warez/other artists audio... I know there will be other types of files like samples, documents etc but I still think 2b is a bit high.

But this limit is something we can work on as we go....

Any other suggestions...

I spose im more looking for, when people apply to join what sets them as a reason we should let them in the hub....

Or are we going about this wrong, should the emphasis be on them to give a reason why they should be let in and every applications judged on its own merit?
