Speaking of 80s new wave there was a great show on TV Land last night from the early 80s. I hate the fact I don't know what the sitcom was called because it was wicked. The show featured a live PA from DEVO, I was like HELL YAH! This past afternoon I went looking for used DEVO CDs but came up with nothing. I did however find a nice 1993 Todd Terry mega mix CD for 8 bucks. Lots of chilled rave vibes, maybe I'll make an mp3 of it and post it.

a joke?

were you referring to the flash video being the joke, or the track? i mean, yeah, the track is a joke (funny as shit), but it's legit. it should be released pretty soon. he dropped a dirty version as well as a (i think) a version with no vocals at all, i guess that'd be instrumental (duh). but he really dropped them when he played in nc, usa.

john b s a pimp. he went to the grocery store before the show, and he bought champagne and condoms. does that tell you anything?

"hi i'm john b. would you like to have sex with me now??"
"ooh! can i touch you're hair, johnny?!"

straight pimp:pimp:

Yeah, he plays it out in his sets.

Not feeling it at all but if he want to experiment with some different sounds fair play to him.

always been a bit different hasnt he. always a bit more mullet a bit more synth lead a bit more leather patented shoes.

the scene has him to thank for a lot specially dillinga and similar but hes turning gay no doubt about it.

even if it is a joke hteres no use undermining jungles credibility by doing this type of thing.

Wait a minute. Who says a producer has to stick to producing drum & bass all the time?

I don't think he'd claim it was drum & bass anyway.

yep, and like i said, there's even TWO versions of the track. the clean version (like the flash video), and then the dirty version. i can't recall what it's called though (it's a weird mix name, like "john's urban orgasm orgy mix" or something kind of lame like that). i could look it up, but i'm lazy. sorry! check the site beta recordings site, i think it breaks it all down in the news section. here's the link: www.beta-recordings.co.uk

Who says a producer has to stick to one style, even within drum 'n bass?

Apparently a lot of people, so I'm screwed.
