Do you remember the first Drum & Bass/Jungle tune you ever heard? Or the tune that got you hooked? I can clearly remember, was Wonter - Everything (CLS & Wax remix). Got me hooked instantly, was also the first tune I heard of which I knew that it was Drum & Bass. Else than that was probably that General Levy - Incredible tune on Ali G, didn't know what kind of music that was until a few years after I saw the movie, kinda liked it at the time already though.
Just came across it on my itunes :) Still doing it, so many memories etc.

I found a similar thread which was a few years old... Hope it's cool.

My mate showed it to me about 3 years ago and was then hooked on dnb, ahhh it just reminds of summer chilling in the sun and have a few brews

yes I do it was this

on a C90 a mate at college made me in 1995 (eek, showing my age there). this was the only dnb track on the whole tape, the other stuff was like portishead, u-ziq, mark broom... used to play this on repeat all the time and still one of the best dnb tunes I've heard

I used to listen to different genres before, rock-based mostly. My mate did this one as one of his first tunes back in 2006 or so, this is remastered 2008 VIP version which was my first one I can remember distinguishly (I've heard some stuff before but never remembered anything particular).

For me there was 3 tunes, but they consisted of Hazard - Rubber Chicken, Twisted Individual - Crap Rise Out rmx & Roni Size - Dirty Beats.
I can't remember which one I heard first, but I heard them all on Radio 1 roughly around the same sort of time. Probably why Hazard is still my favourite jump up producer

Back in the day when proper DnB was getting released, DJ fresh - Golddust VIP :gimp:

In all seriousness it was the Zinc remix of Shook ones Pt2. Was big into hip hop at the time & my mate was like check this, I was hooked

I liked dnb and went to a few raves before but this tune got me hook, line and sinker.

Takes me back to the days of when dnb wasn't constantly about filthy basslines. This style of music haas changed so much since then.

Spor - Aztec, gotta thank Friction and his Shogun Assassin Vol 1 for getting me into DnB, hadn't really heard anything as "fresh" sounding as DnB before.

I've come a long, long way since then, crazy to think I've only been into it since early last year.

Yes Johnnyj, Hell Hath No Fury is one of my early favorites... Beauty of a track, still loving it, found the vinyl not too long ago :)

Yea definitely one of my all-time favorites. Bought that 12" from Surus a few months back since my original copy is totally worn out... good thing they still had them in stock.

for me it was dj hypes drum and bass arena cd that got me into it, the three tunes that done it for me were

Chase and Status - So Sorry

Drumsound and Bassline Smith - Cold Turkey

Capone - Tudor Rose - Shimon Remix

interesting to see where these producers/dj's are at now...

Capone/Dillinja - Well, thats a rather sad story in itself
