Thai Boxing update: Yellow Armband grading 2moz!

    Phew!

    After 17 wks of regular Thai Boxing training, 2moro I've got my Yellow armband grading...

    Gotta do:

    Fitness / warmup. 25 of each of about 8 different exercises.

    Combinations in punches, kicks, knees & elbows. (Each is 8-10 strikes in each and has to be done left and right sided)

    & defences against & flying techniques for each of the above.

    3 self defence techniques.

    Ritual dance. Like Thai boxers do when they enter the ring

    Sparring

    recite 3 rules of Muay Thai & 1 fighters rule...

    I've practiced it all and know it all. But last wk we did a pre grade training, which was 5hrs long and v.knackering. Apart from that, it's not like I just get to do it in 20 mins and go home...

    I'll have to spar with others doing other higher gradings, and hold pads and stuff throughout the day, & wait around, with my bits spread out during the day.

    & I've gotta be there at 9:15...

    Be glad when it's over...
