Ten Ton Beats has been heading the charge in download stores for over 5 years now, and we celebrated in style with a 16 track beast of an LP, which had some extremely weighty riddims, but what else would you expect from Ten Ton.
Still celebrating 5 years of trading in a very competitive market the good folks at Ten Ton Beats have decided to take a look back at some of the huge tracks TTB has released over the last five years in the form of a series of EP’s called ‘Rewind’( Dya see what I did there ).
Only the best of the Ten Ton back catalogue has been chosen for this project, tracks that have charted in the top ten or above of the various dnb charts we all know and love.
So up first we revisit a track made by production crew called Noise lab, featuring the vocals of mighty Jae Tuns who is receiving major props as part of the brand new MC collective ‘Suicide Squad’.
Next it’s time to revisit Sandstorm by long time friend to Ten Ton and one of its earliest signings DJ Manga (originally part of the Bangers Only 2 LP), Samy Nicks & Rekwest’s Diagnosis VIP caused all sorts of mayhem on dance floors worldwide upon its first release and we expect the same thing to happen second time around. Mr Alf-E’s Out my Head VIP got heavy DJ support from the DJ elite, including, Nicky Blackmarket and Kenny Ken. Recent signing Damageman’s ‘What the f*** was that’ charted at number 5 at its highest point and Rob Soundline’s Big Phat Bass remix hit the number 1 spot on trackitdown.net numerous times as did Dangerous and Steampunks ‘Give it to me’ which has recently been remixed by none other than Certified Sickness.
So on this all killers and no fillers EP, you have front to back fire, all tracks have already proved their worth, and are sure to repeat the success for a second time. Watch out for more in the Rewind EP series, with in excess of 50 releases of singles, LP’s and EP’s there is lots to be proud of. As we move past the 50 release mark the good folks at Ten Ton Beats continue to elevate the label bringing more of our beloved drum and bass to the masses, with something already in the planning for TTB 60, there is lots to look forward to.
