Shoot-the-Freak is returning in the New Year with its biggest line-up so far!
We are proud to present Drum & Bass legends Technique Recordings who will be serving up a feast of tearing Beats and killer Basslines - guaranteed to get heads rocking and bodies swaying to some of the biggest and best Drum & Bass sounds around.

Representing Technique will be Drumsound & Bassline Smith with support from London’s Tantrum Desire, and of course our very own locally sourced resident DJ’s, who’ll be playing a veritable smorgasbord of beat’s and bassline’s.

Midlands-based Technique Recordings was established in 1999 by Simon 'Bassline' Smith
and Andy Wright of Drumsound, in order to provide a fresh vehicle for their musical projects in Jungle and Drum n' Bass. ‘Technique Recordings embodies a mutual appreciation that everyone involved has something to offer and advancement is for the benefit of the project as a whole.' (Knowledge magazine 1999)

Technique Recordings is now recognised as one of the premier Jungle/Drum n' Bass labels in the UK. In the last few years, they have widened their label base with the launch of W.A.R. Records and have started signing artists and tracks from around the world.

Respect for Technique in the industry is immense, as is the support of the major DJs.
The south east London based duo, Jay and Devon, A.K.A. Tantrum Desire, exclusively signed to Technique in 2008 and have since been consistently releasing big tracks like “Crazy Talk & Strength” with their trademark sound of big baseline synths and orchestral intro’s. These releases received great feedback and support from pioneers such as Grooverider, Jumping Jack Frost, Zane Lowe, Hype, Ray Keith and many more. Expect a big set of dancefloor-shocking tunes from these guys!

Shoot-the-Freak is once again raising the bar and bringing Bristolian’s the chance to witness some of the best new Drum n' Bass on offer. Don’t miss this killer line-up! Spread the word and get involved and we'll see you down at BASEMENT 45 on 11th February 2011.
